Required Items

When you sell your house in Princeton there are 3 things that are required for most sellers:

  1. Certificate of Smoke Detector, Carbon Monoxide Alarm and Kitchen Fire Extinguisher Compliance
  2. Construction Clearance (PDF)
  3. Sewer Certification

Departments to Consult

  1. Building / Construction Department
  2. Bureau of Fire Safety
  3. Sewer Department

From the Building Department, you'll need Construction Records Clearance (PDF)


Fees are based on your closing date and when you request the records clearance:  

  • 11 to 20 business days out - $35
  • 6 to 10 business days out - $70
  • 1 to 5 business days out - $125

Payment can be made by check made out to "Princeton" or exact cash only.
