Guidelines issued by the New Jersey State Police with respect to fingerprinting have changed. Please be advised that the Princeton Police Department will only conduct non-digital fingerprinting for residents of Princeton, and only for the following reasons:
1. Federal requests
2. In-State Adoption
3. Out-of-State Requests
Fingerprinting for the above reasons will be done by appointment only. Please call the Princeton Police Department at (609) 921-2100 to request an
appointment. Attempts will be made to accommodate all individual requests as soon as possible consistent with availability.
The following reasons for fingerprinting CANNOT be accomplished by the Princeton Police Department under current New Jersey State Police Guidelines
regardless of the individual’s address:
1. Firearms Applicants
2. Employer Requests
3. Expungement
4. Foreign Business
5. Good Conduct
6. Immigration
7. International Adoption
8. Naturalization
9. Personal Record
10. VISA Applications
11. Youth Athletic Coaching
If you fall under any of the above categories the State of New Jersey has contracted with Morpho Trust USA, a private company to provide fingerprinting
